This paper analyzes the figure of Juan Rulfo through the lens of José-Luis Díaz's concept of "authorial scenography," paying particular attention to his taciturn and silent demeanor. Within this framework, the author is understood as a discursive construct shaped by practices, images, and forms of appearance in the literary field. The analysis articulates testimonies, interviews, and critical readings with Díaz's categories to examine how Rulfo's silence operates as a constitutive element of his authorial persona. In this sense, it demonstrates that this attitude is not merely a biographical trait but functions as a form of symbolic positioning that influences the reception of his work. Furthermore, it examines how this principle finds its counterpart in the very structure of his narrative texts, becoming an organizing element of the literary experience. Finally, it proposes that silence in Rulfo not only organizes his authorial scenography but also permeates his writing in various forms: as a condition of the world, as a limit of experience, and as a structure of destiny.
