The article examines the construction of visual and narrative experience in Juan de Cardona’s Notable de amor, where the narrator, a split “self,” inserts himself into the fiction to provide an intimate and sensory view of the events. The literary techniques blending reality and fiction are analyzed, highlighting the sacralization of courtly love and the use of autofiction. This analysis allows understanding the interaction between fiction and reality, as well as the evolution of the narrative “self,” which is now compared to contemporary digital self-narration.
