Guide for evaluators
The reviewer must log in to the platform using the username and password provided by the journal editors.
On the first screen, “1. Request”, the article assignment will be displayed. To access the details, click on the “View” button, where all relevant information about the submission can be found. At the bottom of the page, select “Accept Review” to proceed to Step 2: Guidelines, where the evaluation criteria are presented. Once these have been reviewed, you may continue to Step 3: Download and Review.
In this section, the reviewer must select the option that best reflects their assessment, in accordance with the established criteria. Additionally, the “Final Recommendation” section allows the reviewer to record their decision. In the “General Comments” section, the reviewer may include comments, suggestions, and an overall evaluation intended for the author.
Subsequently, the “Upload” section enables the reviewer to upload the manuscript file with annotations or comments made directly within the document. If using the comment function in Word, it is important to ensure that the reviewer’s identity is not disclosed. To upload the file, click on “Upload File”, select the relevant document, and submit it to the platform.
Finally, in the “Recommendation” section, the reviewer must select the option that best corresponds to the outcome of the evaluation.
To complete the process, click on “Submit Review”, confirm your decision, and proceed to Step 4: Completion, where you may add a comment addressed to the journal editor. Once submitted, the evaluation will be accessible to the editorial team, who will communicate the outcome to the author.
If the review is not completed in a single session, the “Save for Later” option may be used to resume the process at a more convenient time.
Note: Reviewers have one week to accept the review request and three weeks to complete the evaluation.
