Split, inadequacy and violence in Fernando Yacamán’s Sebastián de la noche
Keywords:
Mexican Gay Fiction, XXI century, Sado-masochism and Literature, Fernando Yacamán, Mexican Literatura and violenceAbstract
In the context of the intense national and international violence that is being experienced, the extreme masochistic option (which the Yacamanian story opts for) disturbs and questions. An aesthetic makes its way in which the reader's enjoyment is followed by self-questioning and eventual rejection. Paradoxically, “Finish me” implies a margin of safety, the spankings (essential) do not matter.
