Abstract

The article deals with the encounter and mismatch around immersion and interactivity between transmedia narratives and experimental narratives. It analyzes the case of Vivian Abenshushan’s Permanente obra negra as a paradigmatic example where the narrative works immersive and interactive elements under the reference of the novel and the management of the database. In the horizon of the new media ecology, convergences are appreciated with respect to transmedia narratives in the way Abenshushan’s work elaborates from the cultural trigger and world-building, but also divergences in terms of positioning against cultural consumption that suggests the literary in the face of the market.
