The feeling of those who remain by Giorgio Caproni.
Review, text and translations by Yuleisy Cruz Lezcano
Abstract
Giorgio Caproni (Livorno, January 7, 1912 - Rome, January 12, 1990) was one of the greatest Italian poets of the twentieth century. His poetic production, ranging from neorealism to symbolism, is characterized by a profound reflection on the human condition and the nature of language.
The poet was an elementary school teacher and in view of his vocation was defined by Paolo Mauri as "the teacher of poor children" because of his political ideology he was attracted above all by the redemption of the underprivileged.
