Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Content and originality of the collaborations.

Argos Journal publishes articles that show the results of research carried out in the field of literature, that is, literary studies and analysis.

A call for the publication of the next issue will be issued in advance, indicating the deadlines for receiving contributions. Articles that are sent to this editorial office after the deadline indicated in the call will be considered for the next issue of the journal, subject to the review and evaluation conditions of the reviewers.

Articles must be correctly written in terms of grammar, syntax and style, without spelling or punctuation errors. Its content must be qualified as relevant and of interest to the community of readers of the magazine, it must be clear, timely and informative. Without language ambiguities, and with adequate vocabulary, in accordance with the grammatical rules of the Royal Academy of the Spanish Language.

The proposals must be original, they must not have been published totally or partially in any printed or electronic media (personal blogs, cultural dissemination pages, conference proceedings, colloquiums or similar) nor must they be submitted simultaneously in any other publication.

Submission of manuscripts.

The articles must be sent through this platform, in the Submissions section.

Characteristics of the submitted file.

It is requested that the file sent be made in a word processor with a .doc or .docx extension. The page format is letter size and 2.5 cm margins. The font must be Arial or Curier size 12 pts., for body text, 1.5 cm spacing, and 10 pts., for footnotes and single spacing.

Every article submitted must contain:

  1. Title in Spanish and English. In ups and downs.
  2. Author's full name. No abbreviations.
  3. Institutional affiliation. No abbreviations and both the agency and the institution must be mentioned. For example: Department of Philosophy, University of Guadalajara.
  4. Summary in Spanish and English. In a single paragraph, no more than 200 words, synthesis of the main points discussed in the article, highlighting the aspects of approach, objectives, relevance, and method.
    Keywords in Spanish and English. Maximum four words, separated by a period.

All articles submitted to this journal must be in the format of an academic article and those that do not comply with the formalities established by the journal will not be accepted.

Literary discussion

This section corresponds to articles that derive from some research in the field of literature, linguistics and any other type related to letters and literary analysis.

Reviews

Dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of literary works, as well as any other that is of interest to the community of literary and linguistic scholars.

Literary creation

In this section, all creative collaborations of poetry, narrative, dramaturgy or novel chapters, among others, are welcome.

It is dedicated to new talents in literary creation on a global level.

Privacy Statement

All information and sensitive personal data of the authors and collaborators of this magazine, as well as of the users who register in it, are within the guidelines of the Data Protection Law of the United Mexican States.

The purpose of the information collected is the communication and registration of those users who collaborate and/or publish in the magazine or are part of its editorial processes.

The Board of Directors and the editorial team of the magazine use this information to improve communication and the editorial process, so at no time or under any circumstance can it be used for other purposes.

The public information displayed on the magazine's platform is authorized by the users, authors, evaluators and directors themselves, with the aim of being able to know their means of contact, taking care not to make public sensitive data not authorized by them. Authors who have co-authored articles in this journal are co-responsible for the data that is visible directly in the journal's publication.
