Marco Aurelio Larios, who during his life was a professor of Hispanic Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Guadalajara, was dedicated to the study and learning of the novel as a genre of writing, into which he delved with his own texts. His main work, the novel Barrio Santa Tere written in 2019, is an example of his literary baggage, that compiles the knowledge he extracted from his readings. Through an analysis, it is possible to see the traces of these readings, the homages in the form of references that he left in his work and the techniques he used inspired by his favorite authors. In addition to this, the contributions of his own style to literature are also notable, and it is worthwhile to analyze them for a full understanding of the Marco Aurelio Larios's creative achievement with his semi-autobiographical novel.
